HUMIDITY
Humidity aids your gecko in shedding. The humidity level in the moist hide should be 70% to 80%. They do not needed added humidity throughout the remainder of the enclosure. The normal humidity levels in your home will be fine for ambient humidity. It is important to monitor your humidity levels to ensure that your gecko has a moist place to retreat during shedding. Should the moisture level be insufficient, your gecko may have problems shedding.

A plastic tub is good at maintaining the humidity level. Humidity can be managed in plastic tubs by drilling holes in the tub. You will usually need a number of holes to keep the humidity low.

Melamine or PVC enclosures have ventilation holes built in to help manage humidity.
